Shak Doubles Through Astapau
The action started with Ole Schemion opening to 45,000 from under the gun. He was called by Anton Astapau in the cut off as well as Dan Shak on the big blind.
The flop came down and all three players opted to check. The dealer then produced the on the turn and Shak checked once more. Schemion reached for his chips and slid out 88,000. Astapau made the call before Shak moved all in for 675,000 in chips.
Shemion was taken back by the raise, and folded rather disappointingly. Astapua asked for a count, before deliberating over his decision for a minute. He finally made the call and the cards were tabled.

“Aces! Aces!” cheered Schemion, who had folded a pair of aces and was happy to see both players turn over trip nines.
The dealer then dropped the on the river to complete the board. Schemion couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. Shak had won the hand with the better kicker and moves up to 1.6 million in chips. Astapau drops down to 457,000 in chips.
