Jason Bartholomew raised to 325,000 in the hijack, John Gardner called in the small blind, and Mark Harraka defended the big blind.
Before the dealer put out the flop, Gardner checked in the dark, and so did Harraka.
The dealer fanned the 
flop and Bartholomew bet 600,000. Only Gardner called and the two continued to the turn as Gardner once again checked in the dark.
The turn was the

After another check in the dark by Gardner, the dealer completed the board with the 
. Bartholomew jammed for about 3.1 million and Gardner carefully pondered his decision.
Gardner engaged in some slight table talk with Bartholomew and asked him some questions. Bartholomew answered at times but soon was silent while Gardner intensely stared him down. Gardner looked down, grabbed his glasses, and put them on as he continued to stare directly at Bartholomew while Bartholomew looked to be doing his best impersonation of a statue.
After several minutes, Gardner tossed in a single chip to signify a call.
