D A Pulling String on Outer Table

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

There haven't been many big hands since the elimination of Benjamin Bond, but D A continues to amass chips, and now has clear water between him and Giorgos Onisiforou.

Chris Da Silva Eliminated in 12th Place (£7,950)

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Chris Da Silva
Chris Da Silva

Chris Da Silva moved all-in for 325,000 on the button and after a minute of thinking, Colin Gillon made the call from the big blind.

Chris Da Silva: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Colin Gillon: {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Da Silva finished in second place in the GUKPT London High Roller for £59,000 earlier this week and would be looking to go one further. However, despite having the best hand preflop, his opponent hit their undercard on the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop.

The {10-Clubs} turn gave the PokerStars ambassador some Broadway straight outs but the {k-Diamonds} river confimed his exit.

Benjamin Bond Eliminated in 13th Place (£7,200)

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Benjamin Bond
Benjamin Bond

Blind on blind, Benjamin Bond was all in for 140,000 against Al-Farouk Obe.

Benjamin Bond: {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Al-Farouk Obe: {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Short-stacked Bond was far behind, raising the spectre of elimination. He was hoping to die another day, with the flop coming {2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The final two tables was no time to die for Bond, but the turn {a-Hearts} must have felt like the sky falling in as Obe paired up.

The river {5-Spades} was not enough. Diamonds are forever, Bond wasn't and he was eliminated. He could still take a quantum of solace in the £7,200 payout for 13th place.

Thunderball.

Geilich Chips Up with Hero Call

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich opened to 50,000 from the hijack and was called by Matthew Bonham in the big blind.

The {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop checked through to the {3-Spades} turn. Bonham bet 100,000 and Geilich called. Bonham continued for 125,000 on the {j-Clubs} river and Geilich called quickly with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} which was the winner.

Harry Law opened to 50,000 from the hijack before calling the 310,000 shove from Bhavin Khatri in the small blind.

Bhavin Khatri: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Harry Law: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Bhavin was unable to connect on the {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades} runout and busted in 14th place for £6,450 payday

Matthew Davenport Eliminated in 15th Place (£5,700)

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Matthew Davenport
Matthew Davenport

D A raised to 50,000 and Matthew Davenport three-bet all in for 285,000 from the next position. The button and blinds both folded and D A called.

Matthew Davenport: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
D A: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Davenport would need to hold with his pocket sevens to stay alive, but an ace-high board of {8-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts} sent him to the rail in 15th place.

Geilich Rivers Khatri

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Bhavin Khatri opened to 50,000 from the hijack and only Ludovic Geilich called in the big blind.

On the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Geilich check-called a bet of 40,000 before action check through on the {k-Hearts} turn. The {8-Hearts} hit the river and Geilich made a pot-sized bet of 245,000 and Khatri called.

Geilich had made a flush with his {4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Khatri mucked his {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, which was good for two pair but not good enough to scoop the pot.

Chip Counts From Table 21

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Al-Farouk Obe check-called 30,000 from Giorgos Onisiforou on the {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Obe checked again, but folded when Onisiforou continued for 110,000.

Onisiforou became the latest player to move above seven figures, joined only by D A at the outer table.
