Carlos Watanabe - 4th Place

PokerStars player Carlos Watanabe has just been eliminated in fourth place, taking home over $65,000 in prize money. He was eliminated by Engelberth Varela and here's what happened.

From the button Varela raised to 100,000. Watanabe reraised all in for 120,000 from the small blind and Varela made the call. Varela called with the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Watanabe held the {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}, flipping for his tournament life.

The flop, turn and river ran out {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and that was the end of the line for Watanabe.

Nelson Trad Neto Eliminated in 6th Place ($37,190)

Nelson Trad Neto - 6th Place

Nelson Trad Neto opened to 100,000 in the hijack and was met with an Alex Komaromi re-raise to 235,000 on the button. After the blinds folded, Neto four-bet jammed for 900,000. Komaromi spent the next two minutes in the tank before opting to call.

Neto: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Komaromi: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The players' respective fans loudly called for the cards they wanted to see as Neto nervously paced around the table, yelling for an ace to hit. The flop came down {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}, giving Neto outs to broadway in addition to his overcards. However, the {8-Spades} hit the turn and left Neto drawing to just the four remaining jacks in the deck.

The {A-Spades} hit the river and paired Neto, but it was too little too late. He is out in sixth place.

Kings Over Jacks Earn Piedrabuena a Double Through Varela

Action moved to Claudio Piedrabuena in the hijack seat and he opened with a raise to 125,000. Engelberth Varela reraised from the cutoff seat to 275,000 next. Play then folded back around to Piedrabuena. He tanked for the better half of two minutes and then announced that he was all in. The all-in bet was for a total of 700,000. Varela took about ten seconds before making the call and the hands were tabled.

First, Varela showed the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} after he made the call. Piedrabuena waited for a few seconds and then showed the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}, having Varela outdone so far.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Piedrabuena pumped his fists for the double up he received. He's up to nearly 1.5 million while Varela dropped back to 1.7 million.
