Meirbekov Makes a Hero Call
Arun Sood was in middle position and had just opened and called a three-bet from Sultan Meirbekov, leading to a flop of A?7?6? with roughly 60,000 in the middle.
Both players checked the flop leading to the J? on the turn. Sood bet 50,000 and Meirbekov made the call.
Sood bet again for 75,000 on the 7? river, sending Meirbekov into the tank.
"Why so much? Do you have no showdown?" Meirbekov asked his opponent. Sood remained silent while Meirbekov weighed his options.
After a couple minutes Meirbekov flicked in the call.
"You win" Sood told his opponent, immediately mucking his hand.
Although Meirbekov did not have to, he revealed he had called with K?K? despite three clubs and an ace being on the board and was awarded a sizable pot for his decision.
