Maxime Chilaud Leads Pack Heading Into Day 2 of Event #13: $5,300 High Roller
The Merit Poker Carmen Series at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino in North Cyprus is in full swing with the continuation of Event #13: $5,300 High Roller. Yesterday, a total of 110 entries played a full eight forty-minute levels before the 71 survivors bagged for the night. During the day's play, Maxime Chilaud was able to emerge as the overnight chipleader, sitting on a stack of 348,000. Jenya Gavrilovich (319,500) is hot on his heels while Dmitry Yurasov rounds out the top three with 293,000.

Several notables who entered the fray on Day 1 were able to find a bag, including Yiannis Liperis (160,500), Gabi Livshitz (73,500) and Daniel Rezaei (45,000).
This event came with a guaranteed prizepool of $250,000, a figure that was quickly surpassed and which will only grow with late registration open until Level 12. That will occur approximately two hours into today's play at around 10 p.m. local time.
Day 2 resumes at 8 p.m. at the start of Level 9 with blinds of 1,000/1,500 and play will continue for a further eight levels.
