Giant Pot for Cory Retzlaff

Level 15 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Cory Retzlaff

Three players were all in after the flop came {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

Opponent 1: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Opponent 2: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Cory Retzlaff: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Retzlaff had everyone covered but worried about his stack until the {q-Spades} came on the turn to give him a set and the guaranteed win.

A meaningless {a-Clubs} came on the river and the entire table was shocked when the number of chips were announced before being pushed to Retzlaff.

"497,000," said the dealer as another player added, "That's nearly half the chips in play!"

The player was incorrect but pretty close. Retzlaff has about 25% of the 2.3 million chips in play with 20 players remaining.

A Shove From The Big Blind

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Charles Woods, Elisabeth Walker
Charles Woods, Elisabeth Walker

Charles Woods flat called the 12,000 big blind from his button position.

Elisabeth Walker found {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind position and said, "I'm all in," with a stack of 45,000.

Woods made the call and said, "Looks like we are chopping."

He then turned over the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

The {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} came on the flop giving Woods a Royal Flush draw. Unfortunately, he was correct with his earlier statement as the board ran out with the {q-Spades} on the turn followed by the {4-Diamonds} river to result in a chopped pot.

Shanie Darling Bubbles to Send Remaining 34 Players to Sunday's Main Event

Level 13 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The bubble has burst here in the FPN King Slayer National ChampionshipLeague Champ Championship.

It happened when Shawn Zuniga flopped a set and rivered boat to send Shanie Darling out the door as the bubble girl.

Darling's elimination means the remaining 34 players have all won a seat into Sunday's $50K GTD Main Event. For all but one of them, that's the only prize they'll leave with today, but for one lucky winner, there's still $10,000 in cold hard cash awaiting the last player standing.
