Ruijs Bad Beats Mizrachi

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Joris Ruijs
Joris Ruijs

The action began with Joris Ruijs limping from under the gun. Robert Mizrachi made a raise before Ruijs jammed his stack of 42,300 in the middle. Mizrachi made the call and was ahead with {a-Spades}{k-Spades} against his opponent's {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

The {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop was a good one for Mizrachi with Ruijs needing a pair of runners to stay alive.

"Club," said Romero who wasn't in the hand with a smile.

The {5-Clubs} came on the turn and Mizrachi gave Romero a playful punch.

The {a-Clubs} on the river gave Mizrachi two pair but Ruijs a flush and a double-up.

Byrraju Felts Antonius Again

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Rahul Byrraju
Rahul Byrraju

Rahul Byrraju felted his friend Patrik Antonius again. The duo got all the chips in the middle with the {10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades} on the board. Byrraju had trips with {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} and was behind the straight held by Antonius with {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Luck was not on Antonius' side as the {q-Diamonds} came on the river to give Byrraju another straight. Antonius shared he would re-enter during the break.

After this hand, players went on a 15-minute break.

Patrik Antonius and Rahul Byrraju just got it all in for a pot north of 55,000 in a flip situation with the former holding {a-}{k-} and the latter holding {j-}{j-}.

The board ran all blanks for Antonius quickly re-entered after losing all his chips.

A minute later on the other table, Robert Mizrachi eliminated James Romero. As of now Romero hasn't re-entered.
