The overbet has been all the rage in the field today and Teun Mulder has shown himself to be a cognoscente when it comes to applying the tactic. After Mulder had raised from under the gun to 3,000, both Joris Ruijs in middle position and Dan Cates from the big blind came along.
On the 
flop, Mulder check-called a 3,500 bet from Ruijs while Cates folded. The 
on the turn went check/check, which prompted Mulder to pull a bet of 25,000 out of his sleeve on the 
river. Ruijs gave it up to the sizable chunk and let the pot to the fellow Dutchman.
