Six Levels Done in the 101,000 Super High Roller in Barcelona
The 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona 101,000 Super High Roller has reached the second break. Stephen Chidwick still appears to be near the top of the counts while Sam Greenwood is expected to join soon, having taken down the 51,000 Super High Roller some 90 minutes ago.
Fedor Holz and Alex Foxen have joined the competition to boost the field to 37 entries in total, of which 26 remain. Leon Tsoukernik failed with a queen-high bluff against the ace-nine suited of Seth Davies, who flopped top pair and the flush draw before calling the river shove.
"Now we are both in for two bullets," Team partypoker's Jason Koon on the same table joked and indeed Tsoukernik returned for his second try. While Tsoukernik is currently just above the starting stack with 1.4 million, he sent Byron Kaverman to the rail and will be on the upcoming feature table at the start of level seven.
On his table, Bryn Kenney won a vital pot just before everyone headed into a 15-minute break. In a hand against Mikita Badziakouski, the latter bet the turn for 75,000 out of the big blind and Kenney called. On the river, Badziakouski made it 400,000 to go and that represented a big portion of Kenney's remaining stack. With five seconds left on his shot clock he called and Badziakouski tabled for a busted draw, Kenney had for top pair.
Badziakouski dropped to around 1.8 million while Kenney now has 1.475 million. The action will recommence with blinds of 10,000/25,000 and a button ante of 25,000 when they return, and the feature table can be followed on the partypokerTV Twitch channel. Two levels remain for players to join the action.
With up to 99 poker tables in the room, the chips are not splashing as loudly right now. The 50 seat mega satellite for Day 1A of the 10,300 Main Event has seen a field of 445 entries cut down to 187 and there were 105 add-ons. In the 2,700 Warm Up the money bubble is getting very close as the top 87 spots get at least 4,500, only 92 hopefuls remain.
And the 1,100 Open Event has seen it's massive field of 1,716 entries cut down to the last three tables. Among the final 24 are still quite a few big names in Ludovic Geilich, Christophe de Meulder, Joey Weissman, Micky Blasi, Marius Pertea and Slaven Popov, along with partypoker Team online's Dayane Kotoviezy.
