We have a Champion! Chidwick Fails with Inspired Bluff
The 101,000 Super High Roller has crowned a champion. After a lengthy heads up battle of more than two hours, understandable with both players starting the duel for the title with more than 100 big blinds each, Jake Schindler emerged victorious and denied Stephen Chidwick the win over on the feature table of the Casino Barcelona.
At blinds of 175,000/350,000 in level 22, Schindler raised to 875,000 and Chidwick called. On the flop, Chidwick check-called a bet of 500,000 and check-raised the turn from 1.8 million to 5.1 million. Schindler just called and the river completed a possible flush.
Chidwick moved all in and Schindler eventually called to see his opponent turn over for a bluff gone wrong, while Schindler had for the straight. Chidwick had to settle for 1,100,000 while Schindler will be posing for the winner shots shortly.
A recap of today's action is to follow.
