The 2021 partypoker MILLIONS Online $5,300 Main Event has crowned its winner and it was Day 3 chip leader Endrit Geci who took it down for $774,838 after having had agreed upon a heads-up deal with Francisco Correia. The tournament attracted 1,084 entries to get to a prize pool of $5,420,000 which easily surpassed the original guarantee of $5,000,000.

Geci's biggest recorded cash on The Hendon Mob (THM) is from when he finished as the runner-up in WSOP bracelet even for $223,978 while his biggest live score came when he finished in fourth place back in 2017 in Manchester for 44,808 which equals around $55,324 at the time.

Correia's biggest score on THM came when he finished in eighth place in the $3,200 WPT Online World Championship 6-Max for $54,000 but he has recorded six-figure hauls on other sites in the past although none of them were as big as his cash here today.

Daniel Dvoress and partypoker Sponsored Pro Dzmitry Urbanovich might be the most familiar names on the final table who finished in third and fourth place respectively. They were joined by Hermogenes Gelonezi, Christian Rudolph, Richard Mullen, Martin Brinkmann, and Jonathan Proudfoot on the final day of the Main Event.

From Nine to Four Players

Proudfoot came back for the final table with the second-shortest stack and saw his day end after a mere twenty minutes when he called the four-bet of Gelonezi with ace-queen suited. Gelonezi held pocket tens and even though Proudfoot picked up a gutshot to a straight on the turn, it didn't materialize on the river.

Another twenty minutes later, Brinkmann left the final table stage when he ran his queen-jack into the aces of Geci. Brinkman flopped a lot of outs when Geci had hit a set. The turn gave Geci a full house to leave Brinkmann with one out for a royal flush but he bricked the river to see him cash $91,542 after having qualified through a $530 satellite.

Christian Rudolph
Christian Rudolph finished in sixth place for $146,300

Mullen was another player who got his Main Event seat by qualifying in a $530 sat and also held queen-jack when he was up against the ace-nine of Rudolph who held with the ace-kicker throughout the runout of the board. But the latter couldn't keep hold of those chips as he lost them all to Geci with ace-king. Geci's tens held and he even improved to a full house on the river.

Geci had a commanding chip lead with 45% of all the chips in play with five players left in the tournament and only increased it even more. Gelonezi three-bet shoved with pocket sevens and was looked up by Dvoress who held eights and powered through the board, improving to a set on the flop to bust the Brazilian player.

Geci and Dvoress Most Active

Geci and Dvoress would be the most active players on the table sending the chips back and forth between them as they played the majority of the pots on the final table. Even when it was four-handed, Dvoress kept battling with the chip leading and even scored a big double to get to almost even when he tank-called the three-bet shove of Geci with ace-queen. Geci held ace-jack and the board ran out blank.

Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress finished in third place for $422,422

The chip lead exchanged hand a few times between Dvoress and Geci until Urbanovich doubles through the latter with ace-king versus ace-jack. But forty minutes later, Dvoress claimed all those chips back for the chip lead as he took out Urbanovich with pocket queens and flopped a set while Urbanovich held ace-queen.

Correia doubled through Geci and then the latter scored a big double through Dvoress with pocket eights to leave Dvoress behind with 16 big blinds. Correia dealt the final blow to Dvoress when he came out victorious in a straight over straight situation before discussing a deal with Geci which didn't go through.

Heads-up Battle

Correia won significant pots to take the chip lead before entering another deal negotiation which was agreed upon with $50,000 set aside for the eventual winner. It would take 30 minutes with Correia first increasing his chip lead but then sliding back into the short stack position until he was down to his final nine big blinds.

In a limped pot, Correia check-called the min-bet of Geci on the trey-ace-six-ten board. The river was a king and Correia check-tank-called the shove of Geci with ten-deuce but Geci held ace-king for top two for the pot, the win, the title, and the extra $50,000.

This concludes the PokerNews coverage of this event but we'll be back every Sunday to bring you all the partypoker updates in a dedicated blog so see you Sunday!
