Day 1 Completed
"miw210x" has become the most recent winner of a partypoker US Network Online Series Event #2: $15,000 GTD NLH Black Chip Bounty, doing so by cracking pocket aces on the final hand of the tournament to earn the first-place prize of $5,826 with $700 in bounties to go along with it.
The $320 buy-in ($305+15) event nearly doubled its guarantee, as 97 entries generated a total prize pool of $29,585. Of that total, $19,885 went to the main prize pool and the remaining $9,700 was dispersed through bounties. Registration remained open for three hours and "miw210x" was seen at or near the top of the leader board during the last levels of the late registration period. Just 18 remained when registration closed, and they were one of two players with over half a million in chips.
By the time eventual runner-up rule22 burst the bubble with a double-knockout to bring the field to 11, "miw210x" had almost 1 million in chips, and they took the chip lead into the final table of nine with a seven-figure stack a few minutes later; though e-eventual fifth-place finisher Jon Jetsfan411 Borenstein was hot on their heels with a seven-figure stack of his own.

Ryan "TheSims" Hohner came into the final table with only a handful of blinds in his stack and became the first elimination of the table. A full level then went by before "Gohednpopoff" and Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier found the virtual rail in short succession, taking the number of players down to six before "King_Icon" bowed out on the following level when their pocket nines could not hold versus ace-king in an all-in preflop situation against "IReadYrSoul."
"miw210x" took the chip lead into five-handed play, but stacks proceeded to even as "rule22" eliminated Borensein in fifth place and then "IReadYrSoul" knocked out "RickRahim" in fourth. "IReadYrSoul" then gained the momentum and took a commanding chip lead during three-handed play, but eventually lost three-straight all-ins to double "miw210x" and "rule22" before running ace-seven into the ace-king of "rule22" to bust in third.
When heads-up play begain, "rule22" had more than a two-to one chip lead. They increased it briefly before doubling "miw210x" to bring stacks to nearly even. From there, "miw210x" took the lead by winning a sizeable pot without showdown and then got the rest after stacks got in on the flop on a king-high board: "miw210x" was holding king-trey suited and had run it into pocket aces but a king on the turn saved them and earned them the victory.
In Level 31 with blinds of 35,000/70,000 and an ante of 8,750, "miw210x" opened to 145,000 on the button and "rule22" three-bet to 315,000 in the big blind. "miw210x" called.
The flop fell and "rule22" made a continuation-bet of 315,000. "miw210x" jammed for 1.56 million effective and "rule22" quickly called.
