Congratulations to "ScarletRaptor", Winner of $320 Event #2: $25K GTD 8-Max PKO for $8,499

The partypoker US Online Series has just seen another champion crowned in $320 Event #2: $25K GTD 8-Max PKO, which had a total of 94 runners and when the dust had settled only "ScarletRaptor" was left, taking home $8,499 for their victory.

A steam-rolled final table all came to foot when "ScarletRaptor" opened up with a double elimination to start the festivities. Chris rumpthumper White and "jetsfan411" shoved their stacks into the middle, only to run into the aces of "ScarletRaptor". The champion never looked back after that monster hand to start the final table, finding no hurdles on the way to their victory.

"ScarletRaptor" put out the collection dish during the last table, gathering every bounty, including their own which is an incredible feat. They started the day off well but when only one tabled remained it seemed as if a whole new level of play came out, mashing buttons en route to eliminating the entire final table with relentless aggression to secure the $3,244 first-place prize. A prize that was overshadowed by the $5,255 that they had accumulated in bounties over the run of the event.

Action of the Day

The second event of the partypoker US Online Series had another great turnout with 94 players jumping in for the first PKO event during the series. This created a prize pool of $28,200, which sailed on by the guarantee that was set. Once late registration closed it was determined that the top twelve were to find a payday and Brian "TopCreature" Sherrier was still in the hunt. Sherrier just came off a victory last night in the opening event and was looking for a back-to-back finish but his red-hot start was quickly extinguished, finishing in just shy of the final table.

Once the final table hit it was "ScarletRaptor" who dubbed themselves as the bounty collecter. Unfortunately, it was Chris rumpthumper White and "jets411" that found out the hard way when they pushed all in, only to run into the aces of "ScarletRaptor". The board ran out clean and both were eliminated, sending two bounties over to "ScarletRaptor".

Next on the chopping block was "HueJasole777" who shoved their remaining stack with king-five, just to be snap-called by the pocket jacks of "ScarletRaptor". An uneventful runout sent "HueJasole" out the door in sixth place. A steamrolling "ScarletRaptor" continued the slaughter just hands after when "karma189" pushed with pocket queen and was ahead of the ace-jack held by "ScarletRaptor". A flopped two pair cemented the pot for "ScarletRaptor" as "karma189" failed to catch-up and was sent to the rail.

"ryanmco18" looked down at big slick and decided to test the chip leader, "ScarletRaptor" obliged with their jack-ten and the two went to showdown. An ace-high flop gave "ryanmco18" the lead until "ScarletRaptor" turned two pair. A brick on the river sealed it for "ScarletRaptor" who collected yet another bounty. The very next hand saw "joey1way" call a button shove from "ScarletRaptor". The flop brought two pair for "joey1way" but three sailboats for "ScarletRaptor" and that was more than enough to send "joey1way" out in third place.

The heads-up portion of this event did not last long but both players managed to find an optimal hand to shove. "Law2nic" pushed all of their chips into the middle with ace-king and "ScarletRaptor" woke up with the exact same hand but in hearts. A flush draw came to life on the flop for "ScarletRaptor" and the river completed it, sending all the tournament chips to them as "Law2nic" had to settle for runner-up.
