$109 Event #4: $10K GTD PLO 6-Max
Day 1 Completed
The partypoker US Online Series has now seen the only four-card event of the series wrap up as $109 Event #4: $10K GTD PLO 6-Max just wrapped up. A total of 87 runners showed up for this event and when the last chance saloon had closed for business it was "ChickenTendies" sitting in the winner's circle, pocketing $3,400 for their win.
"ChickenTendies" began the final table with a monster lead and did indeed get the win but it was not without a few hurdles along the way. The biggest being "acwhoosher" who started the heads-up match with a considerable lead.
"ChickenTendies" kept their composure throughout and managed to find an optimal double when they flopped three jacks versus the pocket rockets of "acwhoosher". Once they took back the lead that they held for so long prior to heads-up, it was nothing but pure aggression that locked up the win. Putting "acwhoosher" to the test constantly until the final hand saw a boat send "acwhoosher" out as the runner-up, crowning "ChickenTendies" as the partypoker US Online Series Omaha champion.

Action of the Day
The fourth event of the partypoker US Online Series had four-cards on the bracket, as all players signed up for an action-packed night of Omaha. A total of 87 found their way into the field, coming up shy of the $10,000 guarantee that was set. Many notables showed up for the event but failed to cash and that list includes Eric alwaysliquid Vanauken, Chris rumpthumper White, Michael UFOLDIWIN St. John, Drew "maniacalmonk" O'Connell, and Ted roystalin Ely.
A total of 15 levels of highly aggressive play came as was expected before the late registration period had ended. Once registration had closed, only 12 players were left to fight it out and it was announced that nine were to be paid. "MsFancy" ended up being the unfortunate bubble when "GiantGenius" landed a runner-runner flush. All players were then guaranteed at least a min-cash worth $310.
Soon after the money had been hit, the final table was reached and "ChickenTendies" had a monster lead. "Hashtag_Hashtag" was the first to take an exit when their turned nut flush was best by the rivered boat of "acwhoosher". Another one bit the dust to "acwhoosher" soon after when "savante10" shoved with eighty percent of broadway and "acwhoosher" had a pair of sixes in their hand. A turned six gave the eventual runner-up a boat to secure the pot and eliminate "savante10" in fifth place.
"GiantGenius" saw themselves sitting at the bottom and elected to shove a monster draw on the flop. "ChickenTendies" called with an overpair of queens and the runout went in the favor of the champ, knocking "GiantGenius" out in fourth place. The next player to take an exit was Anthony "Flawlessbinkage" Maio who shoved with a flush draw, running into the broadway of "acwhoosher" and the flush then failed to come, eliminating him in third place.
The head-up portion of this event was a battle that saw the lead shift multiple times. But it seemed that "ChickenTendies" was just playing a more aggressive style and when they took a major lead it was nearly impossible for "acwhoosher" to bounce back. The last hand of the night saw "acwhoosher" push a seven-high flop, only to run into the two pair of "ChickenTendies". A duck on the turn gave "ChickenTendies" a boat and "acwhoosher" missed the river, taking a respectable $1,890 for their runner-up finish.
