Event #4: $10,000 GTD PLO 6-Max Rebuy
Day 1 Completed
"Vmasi1" is the newest crowned champion of the PartyPoker US Network Online Series after they defeated "SuppppaStar" heads up and topped a field 49 entrants early Tuesday morning to win Event #4: $10,000 GTD PLO Six-Max for $4,000.
A late registration and rebuy period of more than two-and-a-half hours were available, ultimately closing with 15 rebuys that were punctuated by 17 add-ons from the 24 players still in contention when the add-on period closed.
The event marked the first HIGH stakes PLO tournament and it began with only seven players. Eventually, the tournament gradually gained more players up until registration closed in Level 19. From there, play continued for almost nine full levels before the tournament to reach its final table.
The final table started off with a quick elimination with "DylDyl" taking their exit in sixth place. The next elimination would take place almost four levels later after "SuppppaStar" flopped the nuts, cracking "Godzilla's" pocket aces to send them out in fifth place.
Chips continued to shuffle around the table for the next three levels until "Bagels" cowboys were cracked by soon to be champ "Vsmai1" after they flopped the nut straight.
The final two eliminations happened in quick succession after "KNIEM7's" two-pair was turned by "SuppppaStar's" flush to send them out in third place.
Once heads-up action began it only took one hand as "SuppppaStar" suffered the same fate as they were flushed out on the turn ending their tournament in second place.
