Beckley Gives It Up

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

In one of the last hands of the level, Brian Yoon raised to 110,000 under the gun and Nick Maimone called from the cutoff. Josh Beckley then three-bet to 365,000 from the button, Dario Sammartino four-bet jammed for 955,000 from the small blind, and both Yoon and Maimone folded.

Beckley gave it some thought but settled upon a fold.

Sammartino's Climbing Back Up

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Dario Sammartino just raised before the flop and won the blinds and antes, and on the very next hand he made it 115,000 again. This time Nick Maimone called from the big blind and the flop came down {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Maimone check-called 75,000 and on the turn the {3-Hearts} hit.

Both players checked and turn, and the {5-Spades} river.

"King-high," Maimone announced, after which Sammartino raked in the pot after showing {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} for ace-high.

Chance Kornuth Eliminated in 7th Place ($192,780)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Chance Kornuth - 7th Place
Chance Kornuth - 7th Place

A short-stacked Chance Kornuth open-shipped under the gun for 495,000 and Brian Yoon, who only had 20,000 more than that, moved all in from the cutoff. Nick Maimone called from the small blind to put both players at risk and the cards were turned up.

Kornuth: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Yoon: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Maimone: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

"Good flip for you guys," Maimone said when the {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop delivered both his opponents draws. The {9-Clubs} turn was gin for Yoon, who made a straight, and both Kornuth and Maimone were drawing dead headed to the {5-Diamonds} river.

Yoon tripled on the hand while Kornuth fell in seventh place for $192,780.

Ben Heath

After a long quiet stretch in the tournament we just saw an all-in confrontation that resulted in the elimination of Ben Heath.

Nick Maimone raised to 110,000 under the gun plus one and Heath shoved all in over the top for 570,000 from the cutoff.

The action folded back to Maimone, and he tanked for a bit before making the call.

Heath: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Maimone: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Maimone knocked out Heath in eighth place.

Maimone Extends Chip Lead

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Sean Winter limped from middle position, Nick Maimone did the same from the button, and Chance Kornuth checked his option from the big to bring about a {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. Kornuth checked, Winter bet 60,000, and Maimone raised to 150,000.

Kornuth folded, Winter called, and then both players checked the {5-Hearts} turn. Winter then checked the {6-Diamonds} river, Maimone bet 250,000, and Winter called only to muck when his opponent tabled the {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a straight.

Sammartino Drops Another One to Maimone

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Dario Sammartino raised to 90,000 and Nick Maimone called from the big blind, putting {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} out on the flop.

Maimone checked on the flop and Sammartino bet 75,000 and his opponent called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and now both players checked. On the river the {6-Hearts} hit and Maimone check-called 140,000.

Sammartino mucked his cards, and that allowed Maimone to muck as well, giving him the hand without showdown.

Heath Survives Winter

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Action folded to a short-stacked Ben Heath on the button and he open-shipped for his last 315,000. Dario Sammartino folded from the small blind, and Sean Winter made a quick call from the big.

Heath: {k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Winter: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Heath was behind, but not after the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop delivered him a pair of kings.

"I've hit two outers before," Winter said. While that may be the case, this was not one of those times as the {7-Spades} blanked on the turn followed by the {6-Hearts} river to give Heath the double.
