Neves Takes a Chunk Off Raymond

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Pedro Neves opened to 200,000 with the {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Alexandre Raymond once more defended his big blind with a connected hand, coming along with the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}. The {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop gave Neves top pair and Raymond second pair.

Raymond check-called for 140,000 and picked up some equity on the {7-Spades} turn, checking over to Neves who bet 550,000 then calling. Nothing changed with the {7-Hearts} on the river and Raymond checked the third street in a row.

Neves knuckled it back and won the pot, putting a dent into the stack of the PokerStars qualifier.
