Lee Sets Up Wang to Extend Lead
Day 3 is fast becoming the Jeho Lee show, with the Korean player using his monster stack like a club to beat the rest of the field into submission. The man on the receiving end of Lee's latest beating is Yang Wang, with the pair clashing in a huge hand that saw Lee nearly double his holdings.
Both players were super deep at the start of the hand, Lee sitting on close to 1.3 million, while Wang had around 950,000 or so. It was Lee who was the initial aggressor, making it 27,000 to go from the cutoff and Wang eyed up Lee's stack and made the call from the small blind, with big blind Lin Zhe Chen also coming along for the ride.
It was three-way to a flop of , which was checked over to Lee, who continuation bet 40,000. Wang thought long and hard about it, cutting out chips for a raise before deciding against it and just sliding in the call. Chen folded to take the action heads-up to the turn.
A quick check from Wang brought another bet from Lee, this one for 100,000, which Wang called quickly. The river brought a third check from Wang and Lee reached for chips, lots of chips, pushing out a big two-handed bet of 375,000.
Wang sat back in his chair while he mulled it over. Should he call and lose he would drop down to 464,000 should he call and lose. That's exactly what happened as well, and after several minutes in the tank, Wang flicked in a yellow 1k chip to represent the call and Lee immediately rolled over for a flopped set of tens.
An unhappy Wang counted out the chips to pay off Lee, who now has a massive 2.2 million stack and a healthy lead, with his next closest rival Liang song, who has around 1.1 million.
