Yu Traps Du; Retakes Top Spot
Some sneaky play on the part of Li Yu has paid off dividends, with the Chinese player trapping the unfortunate Qi Cheng Du.
It was Yang Wang the man initially driving the action with an under-the-gun open to 120,000, with Du flat calling the button, before Yu squeezed to 400,000 from the small blind. Coming just a couple of orbits after having a bluff picked off Wang, the rest of the table was naturally suspicious, and while Wang gave it up, Du was not convinced and slid in the call.
The flop saw Yu tank long and hard, before deciding to continuation bet 350,000. After some time in the tank, Du slid in the call and it was off to the turn. This is where the fireworks went off, with Yu Hollywooding for a minute or so before checking it over to Du, who took the bait, moving all-in and getting called immediately.
