Bonomo on Crumbs

Level 17 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Justin Bonomo opened to 50,000 in the cutoff with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Koray Aldemir three-bet to 170,000 on the button with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. The action folded back to Bonomo who shoved all in and Aldemir instantly called to put himself at risk for 930,000.

The flop fell {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Aldemir held on to the best hand with his pair of kings. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn left Bonomo drawing to just three aces. The river was the {10-Clubs} and Aldemir doubled up through Bonomo, leaving him with just a couple of big blinds.

Imsirovic in the Driver's Seat at Final Table of Event #6: $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em

Ali Imsirovic
Ali Imsirovic

It was an extraordinary Wednesday for Ali Imsirovic at the 2018 Poker Masters who claimed victory in Event #5: $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em and has one hand on the title of Event #6: $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em. Imsirovic set the pace of play throughout Day 1 and bagged up over half the chips in play with 3,630,000 chips.

After wrapping up his first final table of the series in around three hours, Imsirovic took his confident mindset to the registration desk to enter an even bigger event. Imsirovic is fairly new to the high-roller scene at just 23 years of age, but he is starting show he has what it takes to compete with the big boys. Although Imsirovic is the clear favorite heading into the final table, he can't take things for granted as five other high-roller professionals will be chomping at the bit.

The only player other than Imsirovic that will be making a return to a final table is Jake Schindler who bagged up 835,000 chips. Schindler has the opportunity to move into first position in the Purple Jacket race with a win today, while Imsirovic could move into the pole position with a top-three finish and Schindler bowing out early.

Although the other four players will be new to the final table as this year's Poker Masters, they have plenty of experience playing in some of the biggest poker tournaments. Justin Bonomo (980,000) has been having one of the best year's in poker ever and will be joined by Koray Aldemir (710,000), Seth Davies (465,000), and Sam Soverel (430,000).

The action is slated to get underway at 12:00 noon with the live stream beginning one hour later on PokerGO. The blinds will resume on level 17 at 15,000/25,000 with a 25,000 big blind ante. Each player is guaranteed to walk away with at least $141,000 but the winner will be taking home the biggest prize thus far, $799,000.

Follow along as the PokerNews live reporting team will be with you every step of the way until a winner is crowned.
