The Rise & Fall of Alexander Eder

In the space of just two hands, Alexander Eder both doubled through, and doubled out.

The 'rise' came in a battle of the blinds confrontation with Yoeri van Erp, the latter pushing from the small blind with {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and being snap-called by {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds} in the big. A {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board, however, delivered Eder his one of three outs to see his stack increase two fold to 4,700.

The 'fall' came courtesy of Noel Ramu, the latter's {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} slightly behind against Eder's {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. The {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} seemed safe as houses, but the {10-Hearts} on the turn virtually sealed the deal. At this point, Eder made a noise as if someone had plucked a hair from his eyebrows, before the {2-Diamonds} river confirmed his demise.

Meanwhile, Ramu appears to be close to the 20,000 mark.

Rasmus on the Rampage

Eduard Borochov seems to have either limped or raised under the gun; either way, a short-stacked Sandra Ambroz moved all in, only for giganto-stack Rasmus Gandrup to reraise enough to cover everyone else at the table. Borochov slammed the rest of his chips across the line, and they turned their cards over.

Borochov: {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts}
Ambroz: {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}
Gandrup: {8-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}

Board: {A-Spades} {7-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}

Thus Gandrup made a straight and both Ambroz and Borochov got themselves an early night.
