Day 1a of the 2017 PokerNews Cup Rozvadov Kicks off Today
In one hour from now as of 7 p.m. local time, the 2017 PokerNews Cup Rozvadov �225+25 Main Event kicks off at the King's Casino in Rozvadov. The popular tournament series returns to Europe's biggest poker arena for the third time and will feature a total of four starting days over the next three days.
The tournament features a guaranteed prize pool of �200,000 and last year's edition saw a total of 904 entries and 200 rebuys to make it 1,104 entries in total. Timur Caglan, who regularly plays in the King's Casino, defeated Ronny Voth in heads-up for a payday of �44,695 while Voth had to settle for �27,350.

Each Day 1 will feature a total of 15 levels of 30 minutes each, and the starting stack is 30,000 chips. Two entries are allowed for each flight in order to take a shot at the juicy prize pool. Among those to qualify for the tournament were 22 players on TonyBet and three via 888poker, and the PokerNews live reporting team will follow their progress until a winner is crowned on Monday, August 21st 2017.
