Welcome to Day 1 of $25,750 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller

While no-limit hold'em might be the game of choice for most and the game that's dominating the headlines here at PokerStars Championship Bahamas, that's not all anyone's sitting down at the felt to play. Plenty of other games are on the docket, and one tournament in particular will draw interest from the top players and eyeballs from poker fans everywhere: the $25,750 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller.

PLO is a game that's exciting for players and fans alike, and high-stakes PLO is on the schedule here with a 12:30 p.m. start time at Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas.

No equivalent tournament existed here last year in the final year of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The closest thing was a $5,300 PLO event won by noted PLO player Florian Langmann of Germany for just under $45,000.

This particular event has 45-minute blind levels and a 50,000 starting stack. One reentry is allowed per player up until the start of Level 9 (800/1,600). Blinds begin at 100/200, and although things are scheduled to end at the conclusion of Level 14 (2,500/5,000), it's anyone's guess whether a Day 2 will be needed.

Either way, PokerNews will be your source for high-stakes PLO action today, so stay tuned.
