Ramos Hits the Rail

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

With the departure of Felipe Ramos there are now no PokerStars Team Pros left in the field with Sergey Lebedev sending the Brazilian to the rail.

Ramos was the aggressor in the hand, opening to 14,000 from middle position before Lebedev re-raised to 40,000 in total from the hi-jack. The rest of the table quickly got out of the way and Ramos moved all-in for what looked to be around 350,000 with Lebedev calling instantly without even asking for a count.

The cards were turned over and Ramos, holding {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, found himself racing for his tournament life against Lebedevs {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Unfortunately for Ramos the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Spades} to see Lebedev pair his ace to take a lead he would not relinquish when the {7-Spades} turn and {5-Diamonds} ran out to complete the hand, with the Russian stacking up to 777,000 when the dust settled.
