Salter Gets Pushy

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Jack Salter open-shoved the small blind and Quan Zhou eventually folded with around 1.2 million behind. Then, Salter made it 135,000 to go on the button and Zuo Wang called in the big blind. On the {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop, Wang check-folded to a bet worth 115,000 before then taking some chips back by open-shoving into the big blind of Davidi Kitai.

Kitai let go and dropped back into danger zone with just over five big blinds.

Petrangelo Doubles Through Kitai

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Out of the small blind, Davidi Kitai moved all in and Nick Petrangelo called for 525,000.

Nick Petrangelo: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Davidi Kitai: {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The French rail was asking for hearts, but the {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} board changed nothing whatsoever and Kitai's stack was cut in half.

Zhou Bluffs Salter

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

The hand started innocuously enough, Jack Salter limped the small blind and Quan Zhou checked his option in the big blind and the flop came down {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Salter bet out for the minimum and Zhou came back over the top with a raise to 140,000. Salter stared him down impassively and three-bet to 255,000 in total and it was Zhous turn to stare his opponent down.

The Chinese player slid out three large towers of yellow chips for a four-bet of 425,000 in total, leaving himself 900,000.

Salter shot Zhou a grin, tapped the table and mucked and Zhou obligingly flashed {j-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a stone cold bluff.

Nice hand man! exclaimed Salter, giving him a fist bump.

David Peters Eliminated in 6th Place (HK$ 778,000)

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

David Peters moved all in for pretty much spot on 900,000 or 15 big blinds from the button a few minutes into the new level. Jack Salter in the big blind sweated his cards and first checked one card only. "I got the eight of spades," Salter said and peeked at the second card, then called quickly.

David Peters: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Jack Salter: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Peters, former dominating chip leader on the last two tables, had to settle for 6th place and a payday of HK$ 778,000 (~$100,124), while all five remaining players now have HK$ 995,000 (~$128,050) guaranteed.

Kitai a Chip-Millionaire

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

David Peters raised to 110,000 from under the gun and Davidi Kitai called out of the big blind. On the {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, Kitai checked and Peters continued for 60,000, which the Belgian called. On the {5-Clubs} turn, both players checked and Kitai used one time extension on the {6-Diamonds} turn before betting 155,000 with around 470,000 behind.

Peters also used one extension and let the next 30 seconds run down to all but one second before tossing in a single chip for the call. Kitai showed {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a queen-high flush and that won the pot, sending Kitai up to more than a million and Peters down to far less than that. Kitai has one time bank left, Peters still has two.

Salter Doubles Through Zhou to Snag Lead

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

The table folded around to Jack Salter in the small blind and the Brit promptly announced all-in and was quickly called by Quan Zhou in the big blind, who as current leader had the chips to spare, though this would not be the case when the dust settled on the hand.

Jack Salter: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Quan Zhou: {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} with Salter spiking top set on the river to rub a little of his namesake into the wound and grant the UK player the double up.

Two hands later, Zhou raised to 100,000 on the button and Wang three-bet to 260,000 in order to claim the pot uncontested.

Zhou also raised to 100,000 and then folded to a shove by Davidi Kitai, but remains the biggest stack among the last six.

Kitai Takes Another

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Jack Salter opened the action with a raise from the cutoff on the last hand of the level but folded to a Quan Zhou button re-raise.

The first hand of the new level saw Quan Zhou min-raise from middle position and action folded around to Davidi Kitai on the button who moved all-in for 535,000.

The rest of the table got out of the way and it was back on Zhou, who looked like he had no idea what to do. Just as the shot clock ticked into the red the Chinese player threw in the first of his three time bank chips.

However, at the end of the extra 3-seconds Zhou pitched his cards into the muck and tapped the table leaving Kitai to scoop the pot without showdown.
