Ramos Wins a Big One

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Joseph Kushner won two hands in a row. He first raised to 20,000 from under the gun and Felipe Ramos called in the big blind, then check-folded the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop to a continuation bet worth 25,000 by Kushner.

The American then won a limped pot the very next hand after betting a {Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop and Fabian Geisel folded.

The next bigger pot would play out a few hands later. Felipe Ramos raised from the cutoff and Ka Kwan Lau defended the big blind. Lau checked and called a bet worth 20,000 by Ramos on the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop. After the {3-Diamonds} turn, Lau then check-called a second barrel for 45,000 before checking the {A-Diamonds} river.

Ramos instantly checked behind and announced a set, showing {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and Lau mucked.
