Sean Foley and Andy Black "Chase the Ace"
At Andy Black and Sean Foley's table, they were floating the idea of putting �20 into a pot each, and the first person to table an ace when they won a pot (at showdown or elsewhere) would win it. Rory Rees was also interested, but in the end, no consensus was agreed.
In the very next hand, Black and Foley clashed on a with Black check-calling a bet of 2,200 from his opponent.
The turn was the and both players checked. Black flung out a 5,000 bet on the river and Foley then raised in position to 12,000. Black called.
Foley showed for a full house and Black bemoaned being "pipped" and showed .
"So we would have chopped the �20," said Foley and Black laughed.
"You would have been the only player to lose money," remarked Black, pointing towards Rees at the far end of the table.
