Wayne Bridge Holds Fire On River

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Wayne Bridge
Wayne Bridge

Wayne Bridge opened for 400 and picked up one mid-position caller in Emmett Mullin.

The blinds folded and it went heads up to a flop of {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Bridge continued for 1,000 and Mullin called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Bridge fired again for 1,700 this time. Once more Mullin called.

The river was the {2-Spades} and after a bit of thought Bridge checked and Mullin checked behind.

Bridge showed {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} and was wise not to fire a third barrel as Mullin turned over the winning {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

Deborah Worley-Roberts has recently joined the table and called over to her friend Kelley Saxby, “I’m on a celebrity table.”

“That’s because you’re a celebrity,” Saxby replied perhaps referencing Worley-Roberts second place finish at the WSOP Ladies Championship this summer.
