Welcome to the Day 1 of the 2017 PokerStars Festival London ��2,200 High Roller
In two hours from now at 3 p.m. local time, Day 1 of the inaugural PokerStars Festival London ��2,200 High Roller gets underway. After the first ever PokerStars Festival took place in New Jersey late last year, the new series after the rebranding of the tour is heading to European soil for the first time. The buy-ins during the eight-day long festival start as low as ��165 and there are even freebuy satellites for the Main Event as well.
Home to the former UK & Ireland Poker Tour, the iconic Hippodrome Casino in the center of London is expected to attract many players from the near and far. One of the highlights of the festival is the ��2,200 High Roller event and all participants in the eight-handed tournament will receive 30,000 in chips. A single re-entry is allowed and the registration will close after the end of level six and following 75-minute dinner break at approximately 8.30 p.m. local time.
Day 1 will feature up to 13 levels of 40 minutes each and the tournament is scheduled to play down to a winner tomorrow, approximately the top 20 percent of the field will take home a portion of the prize pool. As of Wednesday, January 25th, the ��990 Main Event kicks off as well and the PokerStars live reporting team will be there to provide updates until a winner is crowned.
