"mrblonde2020" Wins 2020 NJCOOP Event #5: $200 NLHE [Sunday Special SE], $40K GTD ($7,940.59)
On Sunday, the second day of the 2020 NJCOOP continued with Event #5: $200 NLHE [Sunday Special SE], $40K GTD. The tournament attracted 136 players who rebought 57 times, which meant the 193-entry field resulted in the advertised $40,000 prize pool. That will be paid out to the top 26 players with the eventual winner taking home a $7,940.59 first-place prize.
After nearly eight hours of play, it was "mrblonde2020" coming out on top to win the tournament for $7,940.59. "mrblonde2020" began the final table in the middle of the pack but built up throughout the final table. Still, he always seemed to be behind "Mummy's Bitch", who was the chip leader for much of the final table.
However, during heads-up play "mrblonde2020" came on strong despite starting down 2:1 in chips. A couple of doubles saw him take over the chip lead, and not long after it was over when both players flopped two pair, with the kicker making all the difference.
