Congratulations to Eduardo "Eduardo850" Silva, Winner of WCOOP-63-M: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO] for $224,375

Level 42 : 600,000/1,200,000, 150,000 ante

The World Championship of Online Poker just added another champion after just six hours of play during the final day of WCOOP-63-M: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO]. The 1,930 entry field saw just 16 return for the final day and when the last chance saloon had closed for business it was Eduardo "Eduardo850" Silva reigning supreme, taking down a WCOOP title and $224,375 for that feat.

Silva started the day slightly above average and began the final table third on the totem pole. It was not long before the Brazilian started his run of cards which began with a double through "Play4livin", who was leading at the time. Silva's kings took down the lead-changing pot, and he then added two bounties quickly. Dropping Timothy "TruthBeTold7" Rutherford and Andrey "Lucky_Jew_17" Parugaev to take a commanding lead.

Silva cruised into three-handed play before any real threats came afoot, having "baaaaddyyyy" chip away at his mountain of chips but an ill-timed squeeze by "baaaaddyyyy" resulted in the champ collecting another bounty with kings, setting the heads-up portion of the event.

Guilherme "Guiz?oo_" Carmo was at a large deficit to begin but managed to take down a few pots quickly, including a gut-read with ten-high. But Silva picked up another premium hand shortly after, extracting every with aces from Carmo who had a lower two pair. Carmo was dubbed the runner-up and took home a respectable $163,192 in total prizes.

Big Starting Hands Equal Big Money

The 3-Day event drew a hefty crowd on the first day, having 1,930 total entry slips sold to blow past the guarantee, creating a $1,930,000 prize pool that had 239 set to find at least a min-cash worth $1,141. The second day ended with 118 who were then all guaranteed a cash but all had their sights set on the $123,962 first-place prize. "biezpienelis" ended up with the lead heading into the final day but eventually fell in fourth place for $52,429 plus $18,258 in bounties.

Silva dropped the first two of the final table, holding aces and kings to take a considerable chip lead. "baaaaddyyyy" sent "Play4livin" to the rail and Carmo then pulled in three bounties shortly after, dropping "YacuTTi", Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof, and "biezpienelis" from contention in a just a few hands.

Three-handed had Silva sitting in the captain's seat but Carmo and "baaaaddyyyy" were clawing at his stack. The momentum was shifting to the shorter stacks until "baaaaddyyyy" squeezed a pot with jack-ten, running into the pocket kings of Silva. "baaaaddyyyy" left Carmo to fend for himself but heads-up did not last long. Carmo won a few small pots but called his stack with two pair, only to see the pocket aces of Silva who had a higher two. Carmo ended as runner-up and Silva was then dubbed the champion here in WCOOP-63-M: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO], pulling in a hefty $224,375 in total prizes for his WCOOP title win.

That wraps it up for the PokerNews live coverage of this event, but tune in throughout the remaining events for all of the action-packed updates.
