JJ Kuchenmeister Crushes Day 1bc, Takes Overall Chip Lead

Saturday was a long day at Horseshoe Tunica with the final two main event flights of the RunGood Poker Series main event.
There were a total of 523 entries into this $100,000 Guarantee and JJ Kuchenmeister finished with a massive 655,000 and will lead the final 114 players into Day 2 Sunday at noon.
Kuchenmeister ran hot, especially toward the end of the day. He eliminated Hanna Guthrie when he called a three-bet in position and flopped trips against Guthrie's pocket kings. He won a three-way all in to eliminate Matt Johnson and Chris Hanks when he made a straight on the river after Hanks and Johnson both flopped better.
Kuchenmeister then eliminated WSOP main event champion and current RGPS All-Star casino champion leader Chris Moneymaker. Moneymaker had kings and Kuchenmeister flopped a set of sevens to crack 600,000 and eliminate Moneymaker a few hands before bagging.
Kuchenmeister has a good head start toward the $60,141 top prize and the All-Star tournament seat and championship ring.
The top 54 make the money and a min-cash is worth $968.
The players will return at noon Sunday to play down to a winner and Sunday will also determine who will win the casino championship and claim the other All-Star tournament seat.
All the tournament updates and photos will be right here on PokerNews.com as the RGPS crowns it's newest champions.
