Welcome to the biggest day of the PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker! This was supposed to be the last Sunday in the huge Sunday schedule which traditionally always features the Main Events but the SCOOP has been extended until the 31st of May so there's loads of more SCOOP action coming up. Today is the day that the Main Events start and right here, PokerNews will be offering you live coverage of SCOOP-74-M: $1,050 NLHE Main Event which has a spectacular guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000.

Jacobo "jakobgold" Montoya won the Main Event last year at this buy-in for $688,558 after doing a deal heads-up with "4BETBRICK". "Wildace_hun" won it the year before and has been making waves this year as their name has popped up on several final tables already. Back in 2017, it was Kahle "ROFLshove" Burns who took it down for $787.312 which is also the biggest cash of all the winners since 2009. The first seven years in its history the Main Event was a 2-day affair, this was increased to 3 days in 2016, and for the first time ever, 2020 sees the start of the Main Event being played out over four days.

Players can register until 1 p.m. EST on Monday, May 18 and even reenter up to three times (if needed). Day 1 will end after Level 16. Day 2 will then resume on Monday, May 18 at 1:05 p.m. and finish when there are 80 players left. Play on Day 3 will resume on Tuesday, May 19 at 1 p.m. and end when the final table of 9 players has been reached. And then the most exciting part of all for those nine players will start on Wednesday, May 20 at 1 p.m. until a new SCOOP Main Event Champion has been crowned.

Players will start with a time bank of 60 seconds and get 30 extra seconds after the first three levels, another 10 seconds will be added every three levels thereafter. The first 17 levels of the tournament will feature 25-minute levels and decrease to 20 minutes from thereon. After Level 49, players will get 10 extra seconds added to their time bank after every two levels and another 90 seconds will be banked when the final table has been reached.

PokerNews will be here for it all so keep following along with the exciting updates!
