John Stempien Stomps to the Top of Day 1d
At the end of the fourth and final flight at the 2016 Seneca Fall Poker Classic in Event #1 $300 No-Limit Hold'em with a $75,000 guarantee, there were 169 entries with 23 players moving on to Day 2 on Sunday at 11:00AM. Combined with 1a, 1b and 1c, the total entries came to 603 with a total of 92 players moving forward to Day 2.
After 14 levels of play, John Stempien leads the way with 263,300 chips. Stempien was fairly quiet until the last moments of the night when he called an all in with ace-queen high and eliminated two people. Jason Garofalo bagged the second-most chips with 233,100 and Jerry Pokerwinski maintained a top stack for most of the day to finish third with 206,900.
Other notable players to make it through include Brian Croak (151,900), Jon Walker (111,400), and Sandra Boyle (85,500).
