Home Town Hero Doubles!

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Jason Nablo
Jason Nablo

Matt Brunskole had his foot firmly on the gas and cruised up to five million in chips putting on maximum pressure the whole way.

The rest of the chip stacks looked about the same as they played a five handed waiting game, with Brunskole continuing to dominate halfway through the level.

Suddenly, local hero Jason Nablo flopped a set of sixes against Brunskole's pocket aces and got it all in for 1.3 million.

Brunskole was brought back down to earth and Nablo has gone from the shortest of the five to a contender for the lead.

Brunskole Extends

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 5,000 ante

Matt Brunskole has found some separation from the pack after pushing Lue Huang off a 1.5 million chip pot.

It looked like Brunskole put in a big raise when Huang led the flop from the big blind on a {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board.

Lue called and checked the {8-Diamonds} turn. With 1.5 million in the middle at that point, Bruckole shoved for 1.8 million effective. Lue tanked it out, but found the fold.

Trading Chips

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 5,000 ante

Halfway through Level 28 and Matt Brunskole has moved into the lead through a series of aggressive plays.

Lue Huang is right behind him, but on a one-million chip downswing. Leo Kaplin is now the shortest of the five, holding 1.5 million, which is still around 18 big blinds.

Jason Nablo recently mentioned they might all get close to second-place money if they chop now. Crickets.

Blake Napierala Eliminated in 6th Place ($5,716)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Blake Napierala
Blake Napierala

Lue Huang made it 130,000 and Blake Napierala bumped it to 300,000. Huang flatted and they went heads up to a {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

Huang checked, Napierala made it 250,000 and Huang check-raised to 465,000. Napierala four-bet shoved for over a million more and Huang called with the {10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

Napierala had two queens. Huang cruised to the win in the biggest pot of the tournament so far with the {2-Spades} turn and {j-Hearts} river missing Napierala.

Now Huang has four million in chips, a massive lead and Napierala is out.

Tim Glab Eliminated in 7th Place ($4,803)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Tim Glab
Tim Glab

Matt Brunskole opened and Tim Glab called on the button. Matt Marcinkiewicz defended his blind and they went three ways to a {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-} flop.

It checked to the {j-Spades} turn and then it checked to Glab. He made it 150,000 and only Brunskole called. The river brought the {10-} and Brunskole effectively shoved, putting Glab all in.

Glab tanked, called, and mucked when he saw Brunskole turn over {10-}{j-}.
