Quads for Varun Palackan

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

There was some commotion at one of the outer tables with three players all in on a flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Varun Palackan showed {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens, Andy Spears tabled {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for the nut flush draw and the third player in the hand revealed {k-}{9-} for a pair of kings.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, giving Palackan quads and immediately leaving Spears and the third player in the hand drawing completely dead.

The river was the {4-Hearts} but the third player was already out the door and Palackan raked in the pot, leaving Spears with just under four big blinds.

Kuhlmann With the Cooler; Felicetti Eliminated

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Budwey Salhab raised to 5,000 from early position and Dietrich Kuhlmann moved all in for 26,000 immediately after him. Jeremy Felicetti was in middle position and called for less with 8,600 behind. Salhab thought about it for a moment and eventually called.

Kuhlmann: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Felicetti: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Salhab: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs}, keeping Felicetti in the lead with a pair of kings. Salhab picked up some outs to make trip queens and Kuhlmann picked up one out to make a straight should the case king hit the felt.

The turn was the {4-Clubs}, giving Kuhlmann a flush draw.

The river was the {7-Clubs} and Kuhlmann cheered as he made his flush, sending Felicetti to the rail and taking a chunk out of Salhab's stack to more than double up.

Dan Wagner Busts Another

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Dan Wagner, 2016 Fall Poker Classic Main Event Champion, has chipped up and is in the lead with a third of the field remaining in this opening event.

With about 13,000 in the pot, on a board reading {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Wagner led out for 6,000 from under the gun. His opponent in the cutoff thought about it for a moment and called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}. Wagner checked, as did his opponent.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Wagner instantly moved all in. Within a few seconds, the cutoff tossed in a single chip, indicating a call for his remaining 18,000 chips.

Wagner tabled {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the nut straight. His opponent sent his cards to the muck and headed for the door.
