187 Players Return on Day 2 of the �1,000 French Championship Main Event
The race for the money is on at Pasino Grand in Aix-en-Provence for the �1,000 French Championship Main Event. After the three flights of the tournament, 187 players out of 495 entrants managed to qualify for Day 2.
They will now attempt to reach the money. Mathias Marza is in the best position, having finished as the overall chip leader after Day 1a with 565,000 chips. He is followed by Day 1b's chip leader Ruben Padovani (506,500), while Fr��d��ric Delval sits in third with 472,500 chips.

Among the remaining players, Quentin Roussey (375,000) and C��cile Ticherfatine (360,000) also bagged big stacks, along with Bruno Fitoussi (240,000), Michael Rodrigues (237,000), and Malcolm Franchi (231,000), all with more than 100 big blinds.
Erwann Pecheux (191,000), Adrien Guyon (187,500), Sonny Franco (167,000), Mathieu Di Meglio (120,000), Antonin Teisseire (119,000), Michel Molenaar (105,000), Jonathan Pastore (94,500), and Sami Bechahed (92,000) will also return for Day 2.
The same goes for Nicolas Dumont (111,500) and Jeremy Palvini (83,000), both of whom will try to win their second French championship titles after securing victories in the �1,000 heads-up and the �1,000 Omaha events earlier. Giuseppe Zarbo (62,000), who won the heads-up title last year, is still in the tournament, as is defending champion Leonard Truche (61,000). Finally, the 2024 WSOP $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship 8-Handed winner is last in chips with just 15,000.
The 187 players of the Main Event are expected back at 1 p.m. local time. They will be joined by a few additional players as late registration remains open for two more 60-minute levels. Play resumes at 1,000/2,000/2,000, and the plan is to end the day once the bubble bursts, with 15% of the field remaining.
