Heiberg Jams on the Flop

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 20,000 ante

Cy Church opened to 300,000 under the gun and was called by Jeff Heiberg in the hijack and Frederick Rule, who defended his big blind.

Rule led out for 500,000 on the flop {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Church called. Rule then annnounced he was all in, prompting a quick fold from Rule before Church went deep into the tank.

Over two minutes went by before Church asked for the initial 500K to be pulled in and to see how much remained to call. Close to another minute then passed and he folded {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} face-up for Heiberg to take down the pot.

Perez Saved by the Ace

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 20,000 ante

"All in," announced Juan Perez in the hijack as he slid out a stack upon action folding to him.

"Oh my god," said Alex Kotliarsky on the button, looking up and away from the table. "I call," he added after a few more seconds, dropping a stack of chips onto the felt.

Juan Perez: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Alex Kotliarsky: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

"In the window," Kotliarsky said after seeing the flop {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. The turn {7-Spades} traded his two set outs for three gutshot straight outs, but it all proved to be for naught as the river {j-Diamonds} completed the runout to score Perez the double.

Kotliarsky was then left with under one big blind, but doubled on the following hand to get back to above 350,000.

Jerry Morrell
Jerry Morrell

Jerry Morrell opened to 175,000 under the gun and wound up getting all in preflop against James Callanan, who was on the button.

James Callanan: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Jerry Morrell: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The flop came {j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} to give Callanan top pair, top kicker and bring about a fist pump from him. He remained on top through the {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} runout and his stack was counted to be 2.215 for the double. After paying it off, Morrell was left with just one big blind and lost it on his very next hand after being forced to commit the rest of his chips in the big blind, only to pick up six-three offsuit.

A Pair of Doubles

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
