Wilkie Takes the Multi-Way Pot

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

Half of the table went to a flop of {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs} with 3,800 in the middle from preflop action. Everybody checked to the {6-Spades}, where Steve Wilkie bet 1,500 in early position and was called only by the player two to his left.

Wilkie fired another 2,500 on the river {7-Clubs} and his opponent balked before looking back at his cards and remarking that he was folding an ace. He then completed his action, sending his cards to the center of the table to earn Wilkie the pot with no showdown.

The British Coloradan is no stranger to MSPT success with over $233,000 in tour earnings and a lifetime resume that is nearing $500K. Among the successes was first-place finish at MSPT Golden Gates in 2019 for $85,149, which was followed up by a fourth-place finish at MSPT Canterbury Park just a month later for $51,944. Two months after that, he then finished in second at MSPT Grand Falls for $66,177. Wilkie also finished in fifth place at the 2018 MSPT Golden Gates $360 Regional for $17,511.
