Final Starting Flight For the $300,000 United States Poker Championship Begins Today

Two starting days are already in the books but there is still Day 1c left to be played at the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) $1,110 Main Event from Sycuan Casino in San Diego. The United States Poker Championship boasts a $300,000 guaranteed tournament that also awards a trophy on top of the money won.

There were 251 entries through the first two starting days, with 32 already advancing on to Day 2. Players are not yet in the money but will be very early during the final day.

Day 1c will start today at 3:00 p.m. local time. The flight will play down until just 12% of the field remains or until the end of Level 15, all remaining players will return on Day 2 on Sunday, September 25, at 11:00 a.m. local time to play down to a winner.

Through two flights it��s Patt McCool (445,000) who has bagged the biggest stack. Some of the other big stacks to advance include Jason Kapoor (395,000), Ken Baime (388,000), Sherry Hammers (336,000), Curt Kohlberg (334,000), Massoud Eskandari (304,000), Mary Anne Madruga (300,000), and Kyna England (140,000).

A starting stack for this event will be worth 25,000 chips and late registration will remain open until the start of level 13. An unlimited number of re-entries will be allowed but players may only bag one stack. The levels will be 40 minutes long throughout the tournament with a 10-minute break after every three levels.
