Welcome to Day 1 of the 2017 Triton Super High Roller Series Manila 6-Max Event

2017 Triton Super High Roller Series
2017 Triton Super High Roller Series

The Triton Super High Roller Series emerged on the live poker circuit in 2016 and immediately attracted the biggest names and the high-stakes experts with a combination of dedicated service and exclusive buy-ins at first-class venues. As of 2016, Triton Poker has contributed proceeds from its events to different charities, including the womens cancer support group, Project Pink and the disaster relief organization, Red Cross.

Previous winners of the Triton Super High Roller series include Fedor Holz, Dan Cates and Wai Kin Yong. Holz kicked off a spectacular 2016 by taking down the initial $200,000 Triton Super High Roller as part of the World Poker Tour National for a payday of $3,463,500.

Cates followed in his footsteps by emerging victorious in the Suncity Cup in November 2016 for HK$ 2,785,900. During the same festival, Yong, son of well-known high-roller and Founder of Triton Richard Yong, claimed the title in the HK$ 500,000 Main Event for HK$ 16,135,550 (approximately $2,080,557).

The 2017 edition promises to be even bigger and the buy-in of the Main Event was doubled to HK$1,000,000 while another Side Event was added to the schedule to attract many familiar faces of the international poker circuit. As host of the festival, the extraordinary Solaire Resort and Casino Manila in the capital of the Philippines provides a first-class experience to all the participants.

The HK$250,000 6-Max (approximately $32,200) two-day event provides levels of 45 minutes and a starting stack of 50,000. The action gets underway in one hour from now at 4 p.m. local time and a total of nine levels are scheduled for Day 1. All players can re-enter once and the registration remains open until the cards are back underway for Day 2 tomorrow as of 1 p.m. local time. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide updates until a winner is crowned.
