Another For Day

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Chris Day opened to 5,000 preflop from the small blind and Kyle Maguire three-bet to 12,500 in the big blind. Day made the call and both players checked the {3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades} flop. The {J-Hearts} on the turn saw Day bet 9,100 and Maguire called before both players once again checked the {6-Diamonds} river.

Day showed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} beating Maguire's {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

"Would you have called if I'd moved all in [preflop]?" asked Day.

"Oh yes," replied Maguire.

Aido Dominating

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Full Tilt Ambassador Dermot Blain opened to 5,000 preflop from the cutoff and Sergio Aido made it 12,000 on the button with the Irishman opting to make the call.

The flop was {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Blain check-called a bet of 7,900 from the Spaniard. On the {Q-Spades} turn, Blain check-called a second time, this time 18,000 was the amount. The river was the {A-Spades} and Blain checked once more, Aido bet 34,000 but after a couple of minutes, the Irishman opted to fold.

Days Delight

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Dermot Blain raised to 5,200 and was met with a raise by Chris Day to 13,500. With everyone else folded it was back on Blain who raised again, only to be met by an all-in from Day.

It was obvious that Blain wasn't entirely happy but his hand was too strong to fold, so he shrug called and tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. He was up against Days {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Day clearly wasnt feeling it and was out of his chair anticipating his exit.

The dealer put out the five cards. {j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Day survived, doubling up.

Clearly delighted, he let out a little Yes. and immediately apologised for the minor celebration.

Jan Przysucha Eliminated in 5th Place (4,890)

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Jan Przysucha
Jan Przysucha

Jan Przysucha has been nursing a short stack for a couple of hours now and he finally found a spot to make his move, unfortunately someone still had a better hand than him.

Sergio Aido raised to 5,000 in the small blind and Przysucha moved all in for about 40,000 from the big blind. An instant call from the Spaniard.

Aido: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Przysucha: {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The flop brought a ten to give the Pole some extra outs but that was all the help he got when the board came {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}. We're down to just four players.

Having a Bad Day

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Chris Day started the final table with a convincing chip lead but he's not having so much luck in the last half an hour.

First Sergio Aido check/called him to the tune of 6,300 and 12,200 on the flop and turn of a {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board before both players checked the river. Day showed {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} but found himself rivered by the Spaniard's {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}.

A few hands later saw Day raise to 5,000 preflop, getting called by Full Tilt Ambassador Dermot Blain on the button and Jan Przysucha in the big blind. It was checked to Blain on the flop of {Q-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the Irishman bet 8,200, Przysucha folded but Day called to see the {4-Spades} turn. Day checked a second time and Blain bet 16,600 on this occasion but again Day made the call. The river was the {Q-Spades} and Day led out this time for 38,000 - Blain tanked for a couple of minute but eventually made the call.

Day shook his head, showing {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a missed flush draw and gutshot and Blain scooped the pot with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

Small Pot for Day

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} Sergio Aido bet 5,500. Chris Day elected to call.

The turn brought the {2-Clubs}. Aido continued to put the pressure on with a 14,000 bet. Again Day called.

The river was the {8-Spades} and Aido decided to save a bullet and checked to Day who checked behind.

Aidos {K-Clubs}{10-Spades} was beaten by Days {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Two For Aido

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Sergio Aido has picked up a couple of pots in the last few minutes. First he three-bet on the button to 13,000 over the top of a Kyle Maguire raise to 4,000 that had been called by Full Tilt Ambassador Dermot Blain. Maguire folded but Blain made the call to see a {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} flop. Both players checked before Blain also checked the {4-Clubs} turn, Aido bet 10,000 and the Irishman made the call. The river was the {3-Spades} and Blain checked a third time before calling Aido's 23,000 bet. The Spaniard showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a full house and it was enough to take the pot.

A couple of hands later, Aido got the best of Maguire. Aido called a 4,000 raise in the big blind and then check-raised Maguire's 5,100 bet on a {J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop to 10,200 to push the Scot off the hand.

Chip Leaders Tangle in Back-to-Back Pots

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Sergio Aido opened for 4,000 and Chris Day, on the button, made it 9,200 to go. From the small blind Kyle Maguire made it 18,000. Dermot Blain folded the big blind and after some thought Aido folded, so it was back on Day.

Day raised again, a 5-bet to 38,000 and it was Maguires turn to make a decision.

His decision was to move all-in and Day didnt look happy. He took his ear phone out and began to size up the situation. A few minutes passed, the table quietly and respectfully awaiting the outcome. This was the two chip leaders clashing.

You wanna fight for it right now? Day asked his opponent. Maguire, his chin resting on his back to front chair gave nothing away.

Day decided this wasnt a battle he wanted to fight and folded.

The very next hand Day raised to 4,000. Maguire, now with the button, made it 9,000. The blinds folded and it was back on Day. Would we see another pre-flop raising war? Not this time as he just called and we saw a flop.

{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Day checked. Maguire checked.

The turn came the {8-Diamonds} and Day decided to bet out to the tune of 11,500. Maguire slid his cards to the dealer and this pot went to Chris Day.
