"Well, that's not good!" said Sims, who was in the three-seat with a birds-eye view of the flop as it was fanned out. The turn and and river were unable to bring the chop outs he needed and Smith earned the double. He pushed his stack forward and the dealer counted it out to 15,200, which Sims paid off.
Meanwhile, Barb Visher was recently eliminated from the tournament. Bobby Sanoubane was a recently-seated alternate, having been the last player to qualify from a satellite, and was in the seat formerly occupied by Visher. Sanoubane said she got her stack all in preflop with versus another player's and was unable to hold, sending her home shortly after the dinner break and the closing of registration.
