One For Newcombe

Andy Robinson raised to 110,000 from early position and Peter Zhmutski threw out 150,000. Zhmutski didn't see that Robinson had raised so he was forced to min-raise to 170,000.

It folded to Matt Newcombe who moved all in from the cutoff. Both Robinson and Zhmutski folded and Newcombe took down the pot.

"You Just Owned My Soul"

It folded around to the blinds and Peter Zhmutski completed from the small. Aaron Massey checked his option and the flop was {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Both players checked and the {6-Hearts} turned.

Zhmutski led out for 50,000 and Massey called. The {10-Spades} fell on the river and Zhmutski checked. Massey bet 50,000 only to have Zhmutski raise to 200,000.

Massey folded his hand and showed the {6-Clubs} for a pair of sixes. Zhmutski showed {J-Spades}{3-Spades} for nothing at all.

"You just owned my soul!" yelled Massey as Zhmutski stacked his new found chips. This hand brings Zhmutski up to 4,500,000 in chips.

Merchant Doubles

Jay Merchant moved his short stack of about 375,000 all in from middle position and was called by Chris Hooper on the button.

Merchant: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Hooper: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Merchant paired his nine on the {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop and never gave up the lead as the {3-Hearts} fell on fourth and the {2-Clubs} on fifth. He's currently sitting on about 870,000.

Justin Gardenhire Eliminated in 10th Place ($55,760)

Cord Garcia opened to 125,000 from under the gun and Justin Gardenhire three-bet to 290,000 from two seats away. It folded around to Andy Robinson who decided to four-bet all in from the big blind. Garcia folded his hand and action was back on Gardenhire.

"Sick spot," Gardenhire lamented. "This is so sick."

Eventually Gardenhire called for his tournament life for about 350,000. Gardenhire showed {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} but was behind Robinson's {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The board fell {8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} and Gardenhire was eliminated in 10th place. With Gardenhire's elimination the official final table of WinStar World Casino's River Poker Series Main Event is set!

Ron Roberts Eliminated in 11th Place ($44,608)

Andy Robinson raised from under the gun to an unknown amount. It folded to Ron Roberts who moved all in for 355,000 more from the small blind. Robinson called and the hands were tabled to show that Roberts was racing for his tournament life:

Roberts: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Robinson: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}

Roberts kept his lead on the {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop but Robinson was able to jump ahead when the {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn. The {7-Hearts} finished the board and Roberts was eliminated in 11th place. He will take home $44,608 for efforts.
