Who'll Be Back For More?
In 4 hours time (2pm local time), Day 1b of the 2016 World Poker Tour Amsterdam will commence. Like yesterday's Day 1a, another 9 levels are on the schedule. Players once again will start with a 30,000 bank, with blinds starting at 50/100.
A total of 115 players signed up yesterday, and 52 of those bagged chips at the end of the day. Those 63 players that busted out, have the option to buy back in today to give it another shot. Initially the plan was to leave it at that, just two entries maximum for this tournament, but things changed yesterday when the organization announced registration would remain open till the start of Day 2 for a maximum of 3 entries per player.
One of the players that pledged to be back in action today was 2015 WPT Amsterdam champion Farid Yachou. After winning this event here last year, he went on to win the World Poker Tour Tournament of Champions last month and is now looking to continue his unbelievable streak here in Amsterdam. He busted yesterday on Day 1a, but will return to the felt today.
PokerNews.com will once again be on sight the entire day to give you all the updates from the Main Event you can ask for. Stay tuned!
