241 Players Return for WPT India Main Event Day 2
After three starting flights containing some enthralling poker, the field combines today on Day 2 of the WPT India Main Event.
A record total of 697 players has been whittled down to 241, and today the plan is to play down to a final table.
Leading the way is Anup Palod who bagged 296,500 in last night's Day 1c with 20-minute levels. Close behind him is Day 1a chip leader Naranjan NJ with 284,500, Pranay Kapoor (231,500), Karan Kakkad (229,500), Vaibhav Shah (216,000) and Day 1b chip leader Akshay Nasa.
Last year's runner-up Arjun Arora (198,500) is in a good position to again run deep in this event. Last year he took home INR 3,947,000 in prize money for his second-place finish.
Other big names include Adda52 Team Pro Amit Jain (172,500), PokerStars Team Pro Aditya Agarwal (56,500), Paawan Bansal (48,500) and Canadian Kevin Ayow (98,500).
Levels remain 40-minutes long on Day 2, with the first level being 1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 big blind ante.
