Bad Start for Walsh

Daniel Walsh was on the losing end of the first hand dealt at the final table. Jean Gaspard made a straight with {K-?} {10-?} against Walsh's aces to take about 100,000 off of Walsh.

A few hands later, Walsh called a preflop raise from Ken Christopher. Christopher was in the cutoff and Walsh on the button.

The flop came {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and Christopher bet 25,000. Walsh elected to make a raise to 100,000 and Christopher called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and a check from both players.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Christopher led for 75,000. Walsh took his time and then made the fold. Christopher showed him the nut flush with the {A-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}.

Seat 8: Billy "Patrolman35" Kopp (644,000)

Billy "Patrolman35" Kopp is a 22-year-old student from Erlanger, Kentucky. Kopp is a big online player, playing under the name "Patrolman35" where he has over $700,000 in tournament winnings.

Kopp has had the luxury of a big stack for the majority of this event. At the end of Day 1, he was the official chip leader. His largest cash on record in for nearly $10,000 and this finish will surpass that.

He enters the day second in chips and with an excellent shot to take down the title.
