Ned Mantua Eliminated in 6th Place ($16,277)
Under the gun, Ned Mantua open-shoved his last 156,000 into the pot, and the table folded around to the blinds. In the small, Michael Traylor (still reeling from that last hand) asked, "How much is it?" with a bit of frustration in his voice. When he learned the number, he said, "All right. I call."
"I only looked at one card," Mantua said, turning up . Traylor knew he was behind from that statement, but his were drawing live for the knockout.
The flop came to pull Traylor into a big lead and leave Mantua drawing for his tournament life with two to come. The turn did nothing to help his cause, and the river was a blank as well.
With that, Ned Mantua has become our sixth-place finisher, taking home a pay bump up over $16,000 for his work over the last three days.
