Three in a Row For Ma

In early position, Stephen Ma raised to 53,000. Charles Moore defended his big blind to see a flop, and the dealer spread out {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {K-Spades}. A little bet of about 57,000 was enough to chase Moore out of the pot.

On the next hand, Ma was under the gun, and he opened with the same raise to 53,000. Action folded around to the blinds again, but this time Mark Bonsack gave him some respect. He folded what looked to be {A-} {9-}.

One hand later, Bonsack came in raising to 52,000 from the small blind. But Ma was having none of it. He reraised to 200,000 straight, and Bonsack yielded once again.

Sean Moore - 7th place

Stephen Ma started the action with an open to 45,000 on the button and Sean Moore shoved from the small blind for around 390,000. Action moved to James Smith in the big blind and he requested a count. Smith called, Ma got out of the way and the hands were tabled.

Smith: {A-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}
Moore: {J-Clubs} {10-Spades}

The board ran {Q-Spades} {6-Hearts} {7-Spades} {8-Hearts} {4-Hearts} and Moore was sent to the payout desk.

Stanko Slips Again

Scott Stanko
Scott Stanko

One hand after the last one, Scott Stanko made his same raise to 50,000 — this time from the cutoff seat. The big blind defended again as Stephen Ma put in the call to proceed.

The two men would check all the way through the turn on the {4-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {K-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} board, but Ma fired a bet of 125,000 on the end. Stanko called, but he could not beat the {4-Spades} {6-Spades} that appeared across the felt.

Ma has just crept his way back over the million-chip mark, too.

Ma Gets There

Stephen Ma
Stephen Ma

First in from the button, Stephen Ma shoved his last 317,000 into the middle. Next door, Pej Niyati made the quick call, and they were heads-up with Ma's tournament life in jeopardy. He was in trouble, too.

Showdown
Ma: {K-Clubs} {9-Hearts}
Niyati: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}

The {9-Spades} appeared right in the window for Ma, and the board ended up showing {5-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {9-Spades} {5-Hearts} {10-Spades}. Ma came from behind in a big way, and he's doubled his way right back into this match.

Niyati is left with less than 200,000 after that beat.
